CNC Technology
One of Commercial’s strengths is skilled CNC department resources. Whether we are machining plastic or die cast molds, checking fixtures, or gages, our CNC programmers have the experience and the software tools to deliver. Our CNC department can program to within +/- .0005″ model accuracy from customer supplied data and our 2D/3D data.
State of the art, in-house developed NC line-up and tracking software, coupled with Commercial’s Intranet network, allow communication with the shop floor to maximize machining process efficiency, and to reduce human error.
WorkNC-CAD
WorkNC is a complete CAD system with powerful 3D sculpturing functionality and proficient 2D design features. Commercial Tool has cut costs and improved production in CAM programming with this integrated product. It provides everything required to design and manufacture molds, dies, and tooling without the need for outsourcing. WorkNC is fast; it calculates toolpaths in minutes regardless of the complexity of the surface to be machined.
Lemoine
Programming and drilling deep holes in Cores and Cavities (Waterlines, Ejection Systems) is a specialty. Lemoine addresses this application with special capabilities to use high-feed drills such as STS (BTA) and GDS (Standard) with a Carbide inserted tip. The combination of Lemoine programs and Multi-Axis Gundrilling machines eliminates setups by drilling and machining (spotface, drill & tap) on multiple sides and angles in a single operation.
CTD University
Commercial’s in-house training program called Commercial Tool University. This in-house training program was recently recognized by the Department of Labor as an in-house apprenticeship program for moldmaking and machinists. This strategy represents an unprecedented commitment to employee skill development.
