On March 1, 2010 the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) certified CG Plastics, Inc. as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE). The WBENC is the nation’s largest third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the United States. The WBE designation for CG Plastics, Inc. indicates the organization has been assessed by WBENC and certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise.
CG Plastics, Inc. president, Jane Bouwman, states, “This certification puts CG Plastics in a great position to enhance our potential and grow the business. We are pleased to say ‘we are WBENC certified.’”
Criteria for Certification
- A company must be at least 51% owned, controlled, and operated by a woman or group of women.
- A woman owner or female designate must also hold the highest office within the company on a day-to-day basis.
- The woman managing the day-to-day operations must possess industry expertise.
