Upon completion of the 4-year program, the Department of Labor issues the highly respected and coveted Journeyman’s Certification. Once you receive a Journeyman’s Certificate CTG offers excellent career growth opportunities.

To thrive as a Senior Controls Engineer at CG Automation, you should bring a wealth of experience and a diverse skill set to the table. A minimum of 5-10 years in the automation industry is essential, showcasing your expertise in engineering innovative solutions. Proficiency in PLC programming is a must, with experience in systems like Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, and Mitsubishi.
Familiarity with HMI systems such as Maple, Ignition, and their Allen Bradley counterparts will set you apart, as will your knowledge of vision systems from Keyence, Cognex, Teledyne, and Dalsa. Understanding servo systems, particularly from Allen Bradley, Siemens, IAI, and SMC, will be crucial. Excellent communication skills are vital, allowing you to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Being a self-starter will ensure you take initiative, while your ability to work harmoniously with others will contribute to our strong commitment to the CTG family.
