Position Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Scheduler to join our tooling shop and play a critical role in coordinating and optimizing production schedules. This position ensures efficient workflow, timely delivery, and alignment with customer expectations. You'll work cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to keep everything running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule Development: Create and maintain production schedules in ERP software based on customer orders, capacity, and resource availability.
- Resource Coordination: Collaborate with shop floor leaders and departments to align on project needs and constraints.
- Capacity Planning: Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to optimize throughput and minimize downtime.
- Material & Inventory Management: Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely material availability and balanced inventory levels.
- Priority Setting: Set and adjust job priorities based on deadlines and resource availability.
- Quote Assistance: Support the Quote Department with accurate scheduling input for customer quotes.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure schedules allow for thorough inspections and compliance with quality standards.
- Communication: Keep all stakeholders informed of schedule updates, changes, and potential issues.
- Schedule Adherence: Monitor progress and adjust plans to ensure on-time delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement scheduling process improvements via MES system.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Compliance: Follow procedures outlined in the Quality Systems Manual and Employee Handbook.

Education & Experience

Work Environment
- Primarily office-based with occasional exposure to production areas.
- Use of safety equipment (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, hard hats) as required.
- May involve standing, walking, or working at a PC for extended periods.
- Occasional travel to customers and suppliers.
