The CTG Apprenticeship Program is approved and registered with the United States Department of Labor. We provide continuous learning through coursework and hands-on shop floor experience to learn the skilled trade of CNC Machining or Mold Making. Upon completion of the 4-year program, the Department of Labor issues the highly respected and coveted Journeyman’s Certification. Once you receive a Journeyman’s Certificate CTG offers excellent career growth opportunities.

Description

CG Plastics, a proud member of the CTG family, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Shift Supervisor to lead our molding operations. What You'll Do

As a Shift Supervisor, you'll be the driving force behind our production team, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety across all aspects of plastic injection molding operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and coaching production personnel to meet daily goals and uphold quality standards.
  • Managing shift operations including machine performance, product integrity, and compliance.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Sampling, Materials, Engineering) to ensure order accuracy.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and production issues and escalating when necessary.
  • Monitoring quality through inspections and feedback tracking.
  • Training team members and maintaining documentation and sign-offs.
  • Promoting a clean, safe, and organized work environment aligned with CTG values.

What You Bring

We're looking for a proactive leader with a strong manufacturing background and a passion for continuous improvement. Ideal candidates will have:

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (plastic injection molding preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Epicor ERP, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Understanding of MIOSHA guidelines and safety practices.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
